ACADEMY

In June 2017, Alex launched the Alex Danson Hockey Academy in partnership with Everyone Active, in the hope of increasing the participation of young people in hockey and igniting passion for the sport to discover many potential future Olympians. Alex has extensive experience of working with young people and in 2015 was recognised by UK Sport to have spent more days than any other UK Sport funded athlete volunteering.

The Alex Danson Hockey Academy aims to engage 10,000 children aged 7-11 with hockey over the next three years by introducing sessions into 500 primary schools and hosting 100 hockey camps in Everyone Active centres. Please have a look at our launch video below.
